brief notes
We had an excellent turnout this month, 8 regular members attended.
In addition we had 3 guests join us, two of whom have joined the club!
- Let us all welcome Jesus Alvarez.
Jesus had found our club back in 2019 at Dave’s Holiday Festival of Toy Trains, but with the pandemic and quarantine, we lost track of him. Fortunately he found us again at the 2022 Holiday Festival of Toy Trains1
- Let us all welcome Cory.
Cory is 11 years old and lives here at Rancho Goleta. Cory was a huge help setting up before the meeting. We all look forward to seeing him in the future.
- Finally I would like to thank David Guenther for visiting.
David was visiting from Ridgeway, Co. Yes that last name sounds really familiar, he is Herman’s son!

New news
- CTTC Website Update
At the Holiday Festival of Toy Trains and the Plains, Trains and Violins, there was a great deal of interest, however the most common question I was asked was “Do you have a website?”
Well I am happy to announce that the Coast Toy Train Club now has a website.
My nephew, Tony Balke, put together the initial website and I filled in the content.
There are plans for a member section, but we were not able to get it implemented before the meeting.
I plan to announce meetings and post newsletters.
This is a work in progress, so please let me know if there is anything you would like to see.
- New members?
Leo and I are LCCA members and one of the features of being a member is the ability to search for other members in the area.
I have found a few active members and would like to invite them to our meetings.
Does anybody know any of these people?
